You could be fooled into thinking that the chunky industrial-era style control knobs and VU meters of the Herchild Model 670 are just a front for a stack of circuit boards, but a single glance at the rear panel reveals a set of twenty-two physical valves and nine transformers. Basically, Heritage Audio have stuck so close to the original design of the hallowed 670 that the average engineer might be hard-pressed to tell the difference. And, on top of that, they've piled on some more modernised functions, including a side-chain filter to support more bass-heavy production work and more direct access to the Slope/Ratio/Knee control so the level of aggression can be set in detail.
